Daniel, I had the same problem. 1)Login as an administrator 2)set cvsroot to :ntserver:<your_computer>:/TEST (where TEST is the repository you just created) 3) in your cvsroot folder create "passwd" text file and put "administrator:" in the first line 4) open command window and run the command: "cvs passwd - a administrator". You will be prompted for the password. 5) In your cvsroot create admin text file and put "administrator" in the first line. 6) then you should be able to add new users. Be sure these users have their own domain. hope it will help you Janusz ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: "Serrano, Daniel (CORP, DDEMESIS)" <Daniel.Serrano at ddemesis.ge.com> Date: Thu, 8 Aug 2002 12:51:17 -0400 > >hi all. > >I´m installing cvs NT 1.11.1.3(Build 57f) on an NT workStation 4.00.1381 and >everything is ok, but when I try to add users to the cvs with the command: > >C:\>cvs passwd -a serranodp >Adding user serranodp at 1.111.11.111 >New password: *** >Verify password: *** >cvs [server aborted]: Only administrators can add users > >And the file never is created. >I have the cvs services running. >i run the command "set cvsroot..." before. >So, Whay I have to do? > >Thanks in advance. >_______________________________________________ >cvsnt mailing list >cvsnt at cvsnt.org cvsnt downloads at march-hare.com @CVSNT on Twitter CVSNT on Facebook >http://www.cvsnt.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/cvsnt https://www.march-hare.com/cvspro/en.asp#downcvs > ________________________________________________________________ Sent via the Econ WebMail system
