THis is not what they are discussing. You have just discovered how CVS is *designed* to work. Each user owns his own sandbox and the owner is stored in the root file when you use pserver. This is normal. So if you login using different user accounts then you either: - create a different sandbox for each and use them as appropriate - make a small script that executes when you login and changes the root files to suit the logged in user (of course the script must know the login of the current user). /Bo -----Original Message----- From: Paul Kohut [mailto:paulkohut at hotmail.com] Sent: den 4 december 2002 12:52 To: cvsnt at cvsnt.org cvsnt downloads at march-hare.com @CVSNT on Twitter CVSNT on Facebook Subject: Re: [cvsnt] invalid change text over and over again I've have no idea what you guys are talking about, but I get lots of errors that I've narrowed down to the root file. In my case I've created 2 accounts for myself. One Admin, the other a normal user. If I log in as one or the other and check out a module then a CVS/root file is created with info about the account that did the check out. Later, if I login as the other user and try and do a query update, or any number of other commands, they don't work. Editing the root file for the repository with the user name I plan to use fixes all problems. PS, I'm using 1.3.10.1 beta 10 (build 1) Thanks, Paul Kohut _______________________________________________ cvsnt mailing list cvsnt at cvsnt.org cvsnt downloads at march-hare.com @CVSNT on Twitter CVSNT on Facebook http://www.cvsnt.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/cvsnt https://www.march-hare.com/cvspro/en.asp#downcvs
