I'm moving a CVS repository from Linux to Windows 2000. I just installed
CVS for NT on the 2000 box and sat up a repository. I then copied the
content of the Linux repository to the 2000 repository.

I changed my CVSROOT environment variable to reflect the new server and
reposiroty path. I'm using the pserver protocol.

I can login OK. But when I tries to check out a directory I get the
following error:

The server pops up this message:
Application popup: cvs.exe - Application Error : The instruction at
"0x0040573d" referenced memory at "0x00630061". The memory could not be
"written".
Click on OK to terminate the program

The client reports this and exits:
C:\> cvs co cis
cvs server: Updating cis
cvs.exe [checkout aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages
if any)

This is probably something trivial. I would appreciate any help.
