Hi, I have a winxp machine setup and I want each user to authencate via the local usernames... so, I have SystemAuth=yes. I'm using ONLY pserver mode (w/o impersonation). I've had one user on the machine for a long time.... 'rhd' (me). I can connect w/o problems. I just created another user: 'asdf' for testing... gave him a generic password. BUT 'asdf' can not connect... it says: Logging in to :pserver:asdf at cvs:2401c:\cvs Fatal error, aborting. asdf: no such user *****CVS exited normally with code 1***** But he DOES exist on the server!!!!!!!! It will allow him to log in if I put him in the passwd file... but I wanted to stay away from that so I can manage user level permissions. Both 'rhd' and 'asdf' are in the 'users' group. With 'impersonations' disabled, does the person logging in have the same permissions as the username on the system? PLEASE help... this is driving me nuts :/ Thanks, Rob -- Rob <robd at securenym.net> _______________________________________________ Cvsnt mailing list Cvsnt at cvsnt.org http://www.cvsnt.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/cvsnt https://www.march-hare.com/cvspro/en.asp#downcvs
