The admin commands are not implemented in CVSNT fully. Look in the archives and you will find several threads that discuss this issue. Basically locking is not really used with CVS, if you *need* locking you are probably in need of a different tool like PVCS (buyware...). On the other hand as long as your files are text files you should not need locking, if your files are mostly binary you need locking bad and then CVS is not for you. /Bo -----Original Message----- From: Galina Rogozinsky [mailto:g.rogozinsky at attbi.com] Sent: den 30 januari 2002 08:01 To: bo.berglund at telia.com Subject: RE: [Cvsnt] problem trying to lock file in CVS NT This is the command that I used: cvs admin -l Logger.java (in directory D:\exiprocity\src\com\exiprocity\log\) Client is WinCvs 1.2, Server is CVS NT 1.11.1.2 -----Original Message----- From: cvsnt-admin at cvsnt.org [mailto:cvsnt-admin at cvsnt.org]On Behalf Of Bo Berglund Sent: Tuesday, January 29, 2002 10:32 PM To: cvsnt at cvsnt.org cvsnt downloads at march-hare.com @CVSNT on Twitter CVSNT on Facebook Subject: Re: [Cvsnt] problem trying to lock file in CVS NT On Wed, 30 Jan 2002 01:12:49 +0000 (UTC), "Galina Rogozinsky" <g.rogozinsky at attbi.com> wrote: >When I try to look any file in CVS NT I get message >cvs [admin aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if any) Locking is not really supported. What command did you give, which client did you use and which version of CVSNT are you running? /Bo (Bo Berglund, developer in Sweden) _______________________________________________ Cvsnt mailing list Cvsnt at cvsnt.org http://www.cvsnt.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/cvsnt https://www.march-hare.com/cvspro/en.asp#downcvs _______________________________________________ Cvsnt mailing list Cvsnt at cvsnt.org http://www.cvsnt.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/cvsnt https://www.march-hare.com/cvspro/en.asp#downcvs
