If you copied the error message then I can spot an error in your cvsroot setting. It should be :pserver:stephen at localhost:e:/srv/cvs but it looks like you have added the port number into it so cvs gets confused.... Just an idea... /Bo -----Original Message----- From: Stephen Townsend [mailto:stephen.Townsend at impactblue.com] Sent: den 13 mars 2002 15:24 To: cvsnt at cvsnt.org cvsnt downloads at march-hare.com @CVSNT on Twitter CVSNT on Facebook Subject: [Cvsnt] Error reading from server localhost: -1 Hello, Still trying to resolve pserver problems. I know server is installed correctly as NTSERVER WORKS! Unfortunately I need pserver. After I downloaded latest cvsNT build 1.11.1.3 (Build 57), the telnet check using cvsservice -test no longer hangs the telnet client. Now I get an error. Here is the output: Logging in to :pserver:stephen at localhost:2401e:/srv/cvs CVS password: ******** cvs [login aborted]: Error reading from server localhost: -1 I am using Win2000 Professional and access CVSNT via cvs.exe and wincvs.exe. Both fail with error above. It has been suggested that it was a Norton Anti-virus problem. I have removed norton from system and problem persists. I have done everything but rebuild the system. Any assist. _______________________________________________ Cvsnt mailing list Cvsnt at cvsnt.org http://www.cvsnt.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/cvsnt https://www.march-hare.com/cvspro/en.asp#downcvs _______________________________________________ Cvsnt mailing list Cvsnt at cvsnt.org http://www.cvsnt.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/cvsnt https://www.march-hare.com/cvspro/en.asp#downcvs
