Some time ago, on the company webserver I created a CVS repository containing private stuff to get aquainted with CVS. The contents does not need to be secure and I handed out passwords quite freely. The server is a Win 2k advanced server server on the internet. I use pserver authentication. The readme says cvsnt version is 1.11.1.2. Now I need to do the same with company data and want to be a bit more secure. Since I want to differentiate the two data sets as much as possible and be as sure as possible that the users of the private stuff can not access the company stuff, so I want to create a new, second repository. I started the "configure server" applet and under "valid repository roots" I clicked on add and chose the empty directory I had created beforehand. It told me this did not work and I should look for error messages after running cvs -d drive:\directory init ("drive:\directory" is off course only a placeholder) I did this and there was no error message and inside the previously empty dir there is a dir cvsroot with approx 35 files, like verifymsg etc, so it seems to have worked. Also, when I add the directory inside the applet, it does not complain and shows both repositories. But when I close and reopen the applet, it only shows the old repository. I created the "passwd" file. When I try to connect from WinCVS, it says: drive:/directory: no such repository. What other things additional to what I did already do I have to do to add a second repository? Bye bye, Wolfram Kuss. _______________________________________________ Cvsnt mailing list Cvsnt at cvsnt.org http://www.cvsnt.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/cvsnt https://www.march-hare.com/cvspro/en.asp#downcvs
