Hi all CVSNT Server had been set up on Win2k prof this way 1) CVSROOT = :ntserver:c:/cvs 2) HOME = c:/ 3) TEMP=c:\winnt\temp 4) cvsservice -i c:\cvs 5) net start cvs 6) cvs init And the contol panel applet shows that the server is running. I then downloaded winCVS 1.3 beta and i set the CVSROOT on the client machine to :ntserver:apaudit5_009:c:\cvs When I use cvs co -c to get a list of modules I get the following error cvs checkout: Hostname required cvs checkout: bad CVSROOT: :ntserver:APAUDIT5_009:c:\cvs cvs [checkout aborted]: Bad CVSROOT. Can somebody help me in this regard as this is my first time trying to set up CVS.
