The sysadmin at my company says that the version of cvs-nt we are using has many security holes and needs to be upgraded to the current version. We are using 1.11.1.3 build 57c 1. Have there been any recent security issues in WinCVS? I saw one in the rev. history about "14/10/02: Release 57j. Fixes a client bug that triggers a nasty DoS in Cvs 1.11.2". I'm sort of confused by that because cvs-nt 1.11.2 has yet to exist. Er.... 2. While I'm at it, we've been having terrible trouble with Norton AntiVirus - the sysadmin insists that *both* clients & servers must run full-time real-time scanning (groan). The CVS-NT server is crippled by this, and I wondered if an upgrade to CVS-NT might help. (Knowing how norton real-time devastates simple things like WinZip, I kinda doubt it, but hey..).
