About the uninstall requirement: Tony switched away from InstallShield as the setup generator a while back. Instead he now uses the open source installer InnoSetup (same for WinCvs). This has the inconvenience (once only!) that if one has installed a CVSNT using the InstallShield setup then it must first be uninstalled before the new one is installed. After this has been done, however, all future updates can be done by simply running the setup file for a newer release. So it is a one-time problem. :-) And don't be afraid to uninstall, the registry keys are not affected so the server setup is preserved as well as the repositories, which are not touched by the uninstall/install sequence. I have done this on several locations already. /Bo -----Original Message----- From: Craig Graham [mailto:craig at twolips-translations.co.uk] Sent: den 28 februari 2003 09:07 To: bo.berglund at telia.com Cc: cvsnt at cvsnt.org cvsnt downloads at march-hare.com @CVSNT on Twitter CVSNT on Facebook Subject: Re: [cvsnt] SSPI and -x = hang Ah- got it. Updating the server and all clients to build 73 fixed it. Thanks for the help- my tortoise now lives. Incidentally, the update didn't go too well on the server. Simply doing an install of 73 over the old looked promising- it stopped the old services before doing the install- but when installation had finished the CVS control panel listed the service as not being installed, even following a reboot. I had to uninstall CVSNT and reinstall from scratch before things worked. -- Dr. Craig Graham, Software Engineer Advanced Analysis and Integration Limited, UK. http://www.aail.co.uk/ ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bo Berglund" <bo.berglund at telia.com> Newsgroups: support.cvsnt To: <cvsnt at cvsnt.org cvsnt downloads at march-hare.com @CVSNT on Twitter CVSNT on Facebook> Sent: Thursday, February 27, 2003 11:40 PM Subject: Re: [cvsnt] SSPI and -x = hang > There was such a bug in the WinCvs / CVSNT combination a while ago > (maybe WinCvs 1.3.10 or 1.3.11 plus CVSNT before about b70). > But the most recent ones have solved this.
