This is just an FYI. I figured out what my 'can't create temporary directory' error was coming from finally. When using the SSPI protocol, if you specify an invalid user name in your cvsroot, it will report that dumb temporary directory error. Now here's something really odd. If I specify a correct user name there, it will give me an Authentication failed error. It wasn't until I removed the user name completely, that I was able to login using sspi. In other words, I have to use :sspi:server:/repo instead of :sspi:user at server:/repo. Also, if you change your user name in Windows XP using the control panel version instead of the User database within your computer management in administrative tools, it will not actually change the real user name at all. It actually changes just the Full Name of the user account. This is why I was using the wrong user name in CVS. Thought I would throw this out there in case anyone else ever ran into it.
