I couldn't ping Vermont. I changed my Hosts file, so I can now. We may have progress but no solution. CVSNT Service now crashes, I get the report problem to Microsoft box (this is XP, by the way). On the client side the error reads -> Can't authenticate - server and client cannot agree on a authentication scheme. This error also happens when I use sspi with Vermont as the Client and the Server. NTServer fails with the same error. Thanks again. -----Original Message----- From: Ian at axiomdesign.com [mailto:Ian at axiomdesign.com] Sent: Tuesday, January 28, 2003 4:25 PM To: KenSJustin at aol.com; cvsnt at cvsnt.org cvsnt downloads at march-hare.com @CVSNT on Twitter CVSNT on Facebook Subject: RE: [cvsnt] Failure Connecting to CVSNT Server Can you ping Vermont from the command line? No? SSPI uses TCP/IP to connect. You may have to add Vermont to your hosts file at: C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\hosts Or C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts (if the file doesn't exist, create it - one entry per line "<ip address> <hostname>" ) Now, can you ping Vermont? If you can, try the SSPI protocol again. If not, investigate the TCP/IP connection and/or name resolution. __________ I should have known better than to trust the logic of a half-sized thermocapsulary dehousing assister... -----Original Message----- From: KenSJustin at aol.com [mailto:KenSJustin at aol.com] Sent: Tuesday, January 28, 2003 1:52 PM To: cvsnt at cvsnt.org cvsnt downloads at march-hare.com @CVSNT on Twitter CVSNT on Facebook Subject: [cvsnt] Failure Connecting to CVSNT Server I'm attempting to connect from a client via ":ntserver" and "sspi" , and trying from both WinCVS and the command-line.
