Hi, I am having trouble using the cvsnt cvs command line client to access a Cygwin cvs repository using ssh. I have the following configuration: server: os:Windows XP professional with cygwin cvs server: cygwin cvs server port ssh server: cygwin openssh port (using SSH2 mode with 1024 RSA bit keys) client: (same machine as server) os: Windows XP professional cvs client: cvsnt command line cvs client ssh client: cvsnt client and plink.exe putty command line client I am using version 2.0.4 of the cvsnt command line client with ssh and ext protocols supported. When I try to connect to the repository for an update using the ssh protocol I get the following result: C:\cygwin\home\Mark Priest\dev\foo>cvs -d :ssh;key='C:\downloads\putty\cvsuserss h2rsakey.PPK':cvsuser at 192.168.2.105:/cvs update No supported authentication methods left to try! cvs [update aborted]: writing to server socket: error -1 When I use the ext protocol with plink I get the following error (using environment varibales as shown): C:\cygwin\home\Mark Priest\dev\foo>echo %CVS_EXT% plink.exe C:\cygwin\home\Mark Priest\dev\foo>echo %CVS_RSH% plink.exe C:\cygwin\home\Mark Priest\dev\foo>cvs -d :ext:cvssession:/cvs update ' from cvs serverng: unrecognized response `Unable to open connection: cvs [update aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if any) When I run plink directly I so not have a problem connecting as follows: C:\cygwin\home\Mark Priest\dev\foo>plink cvssession Using username "cvsuser". Authenticating with public key "rsa-key-20030604" Server refused to allocate pty I use the same RSA key with wincvs and plink and I do not have a problem accessing the repository. Can anyone help me to figure out what is wrong? I am interested in using the cvsnt client to get the integration with the PushOK software SCC provider integration working with Visual Studio (http://www.pushok.com/soft_cvs.php). Otherwise, I can use wincvs to do my cvs client work. Thanks, Mark
