If the modules line is executing you should get a line that tells
you as in:

$ cvs commit -f -m "" test.txt
Checking in test.txt;
/home/tmh/repo/foo/test.txt,v  <--  test.txt
new revision: 1.12; previous revision: 1.11
done
cvs commit: Executing ''/home/tmh/t/dofoo' 'foo''

The modules line that produced this is:

foo -i /home/tmh/t/dofoo foo
