We do this by using ActiveDirectory on the domain. The folder structure where the CVS repositories reside have modified access permissions where some folders are read/write for members of certain usergroups whereas others can only read. We have created several CVS groups: CVSAdmins CVSDevelopers CVSConsultants CVSReaders etc These have varying permissions enforced by the operating system. To make this work we use the SSPI protocol and have Impersonation turned on. This setup works fine for us and we can easily move members of the domain in and out of the groups without touching the CVSNT configuration files at all. /Bo -----Original Message----- From: Rebhan, Gilbert [mailto:Gilbert.Rebhan at huk-coburg.de] Sent: den 26 mars 2003 10:27 To: Cvsnt (E-Mail) Subject: [cvsnt] Managing cvs users Hi, i'm new to this list and also new to cvsnt. i've installed cvsnt 1.11.1.3-77a on win2000 Server and have some questions about managing users. What's the best way to manage several users/admins for access of repository, when running cvsnt on win2000 server, clients running on win2000 ? I'm not realy sure how to do, adding via cmd on win2000 server or editing several files in cvs-rootdirectory ? pserver, ntserver, sspi ... what's best ? How are you doing ? Regards, Gilbert
