Is the CVS Server Service running? Do you have a firewall installed? If the port is blocked, you can't connect. I believe XPHome tries to install a firewall by default. Try "telnet {yourhost} 2401". If it connects, press ENTER and you should get this: >>>> cvs [server aborted]: bad auth protocol start: Connection to host lost. <<<< If not, then you aren't talking to CVS. Glen Starrett
