I have WMI enabled (whatever it is, the MSDN entry is management speak so it doesn't actually say what it does), and have had no problems (indeed I'd expect most people will have it enabled). Possibly the OP isn't logged in as administrator. Innosetup will handle files that are in use automatically, but it'll break if it can't access the system32 directory. Tony
