Two items: Windows 2003 It is pretty locked down such that it is not always possible to execute the cmd.exe file to get a command prompt. But that does not affect people working on the W2003 console though (I think). Client only I ahve not myself installed tyhe CVS client with WinCvs, at least not after version 1.2, because I always have a CVSNT server running on my workstation PC:s for local versioning an dtesting. So I just point WinCvs to use the cvs.exe that handles the server. But in any case the strange value for the temp folder *must* be stored somewhere! I suggest you look in these places: HKLM\Software\CVS\Pserver HKCU\Software\WinCvs\wincvs HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment Or search the registry for C:\WINNT\TEMP... /Bo -----Original Message----- From: cvsnt-bounces at cvsnt.org [mailto:cvsnt-bounces at cvsnt.org]On Behalf Of Pierre Sent: den 20 december 2004 17:29 To: cvsnt at cvsnt.org cvsnt downloads at march-hare.com @CVSNT on Twitter CVSNT on Facebook Subject: Re: [cvsnt] cvs checkout : permission denied Hi Bo, Indeed, I just need the cvs client. The workstation is not the server. I would like to connect to the server via wincvs. Both with WinCVS and cvsnt, the error fires. I already have made several install of WinCVS on client workstation without any problem. It is the first time I install the WinCVS client on a Windows 2003 Server. Maybe the problem comes from here, does'nt it ? See you. Pierre. "Bo Berglund" <Bo.Berglund at system3r.se> a écrit dans le message de news: mailman.3001.1103536542.21094.cvsnt at cvsnt.org... If you are NOT running the CVSNT service then I have no clue, I have *never* operated CVSNT in this strange mode, I *always* install the CVSNT server... >From your diagnostics: CVS Service installed: No LockService installed: No I guess that this is caused by something with the WinCvs installer using the CVSNT installation in a strange way. Don't know why the server is no installed... Maybe better to ask on the WinCvs list if you got this from WinCvs only. /Bo _______________________________________________ cvsnt mailing list cvsnt at cvsnt.org cvsnt downloads at march-hare.com @CVSNT on Twitter CVSNT on Facebook http://www.cvsnt.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/cvsnt https://www.march-hare.com/cvspro/en.asp#downcvs
