Hi, I am using "apache" for cvsweb and the default webserver that comes with viewcvs for running viewcvs (i.e. one that is run using standalone.py). My machine does not have IIS setup and therefore did not have the accounts you mentioned below. Therefore, I create these local user accounts: IUSR_<compName> and IWAM_<compName> and set them up to have a blank password that never expires /can not be changed by user. Then I gave them execute permissions on cmd.exe. In-spite of this I am still getting the same error. PS- Do they also need execute permissions on rlog.exe/ cvs.exe etc. Thanks and regards Aditya Gandhi -----Original Message----- From: cvsnt-bounces at cvsnt.org [mailto:cvsnt-bounces at cvsnt.org] On Behalf Of Bo Berglund Sent: Saturday, January 31, 2004 6:00 PM To: cvsnt at cvsnt.org cvsnt downloads at march-hare.com @CVSNT on Twitter CVSNT on Facebook Subject: Re: [cvsnt] CVSNT crashes on calling rlog from commandline Check the permissions on Windows\system32\cmd.exe In order to run from ViewCvs you need to give the IUSR_<computername> and IWAM_<computername> accounts execute priviliges on this file. I guess that cvsweb has the same limitations. What is the webserver you are using? IIS or Apache? PS: Please don't send replies directly to my email, it is enaough to post to the list.
