All, I am experiencing a problem using CVSNT on a system where Mentor Graphics' DX Designer (PADS) is installed. I hope somebody can help. A bit of history: - I installed CVSNT 2.0.3 on my PC, to handle the sources of a SW project I was working on. Since it's such a great tool, I ended up using it on all the SW project I have been involved since. - recently, we purchased a copy of DxDesigner, a schematic design tool by Mentor Graphics. Although this was not specified, this commercial SW appears to use CVSNT. I could not find refences in the documentation, but a few terms (e.g. repository) match the CVS terminology. Then, when configuring the tool I noticed "Stopping CVSNT ..." messages, therefore I am confident this tool uses CVSNT. - since then, I cannot use the original copy of CVSNT I installed. I cannot start the server, and obviously the client fails to connect. I get the following error message: cvs [log aborted]: connect to PC508:2401 failed: Impossibile stabilire la connessione. Rifiuto persistente del computer di destinazione. (The message says: It was impossible to connect. Connection persistently refused by the destination computer). - I tried quite a few commands. I tried to get the "get cvs version" and I got: Concurrent Versions System (CVSNT) 2.0.2 (client/server) In my opinion there is a collision between the two CVSNT. I tried to change the "CVS server port" setting, but with no success. I am confident there is a way to get the two to work (or eventually to combine the two). The problem is that the Mentor Graphics tool has no explicit CVSNT configuration window, therefore I do not know whether I can add/configure repositories... Thanks in advance for any help. Regards, Lorenzo
