After I install cvsnt 2.0.42 (cvs -v Concurrent Versions System (CVSNT)

I follow the steps like in

in a console (cmd):
set cvsroot=:ssapi:goreXP:/test
cvs passwd -a doru
cvs [passwd aborted]: Can't authenticate - server and client cannot
agree on an authentication scheme (got '')
set cvsroot=:ntserver:goreXP:/test
cvs passwd -a doru
cvs [passwd aborted]: Couldn't connect to named pipe on remote
machine: Error 2
set cvsroot=:pserver:goreXP:/test
cvs passwd -a doru
cvs [passwd aborted]: Error reading from server doru: -1: Unknown error
the local protocol is ok!
... so what am I missing?
