Hi,

I recently ran into a problem just out of the blue with my CVS system. When
attempting any operation with WinCVS I get the following error:

"Can't authenticate - perhaps you need to login first?"

Now isn't that strange considering you don't login with SSPI authentication?
What's more strange is it just worked perfectly for years and now just went
batty. I didn't update any of the software (client or server) in at least a
few weeks and then I get that error. Here's the actual error output:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
CVSROOT: Server:D:\Repository\Directory (sspi authentication)
Python 2.3.3 (#51, Dec 18 2003, 20:22:39) [MSC v.1200 32 bit (Intel)] on
win32
TCL is available, shell is enabled : help (select and press enter)
cvs -x -n update -P (in directory C:\Dev\Project\)
cvs [update aborted]: Can't authenticate - perhaps you need to login first?

***** CVS exited normally with code 1 *****
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

What's more strange is that if I rollback my client to WinCVS 1.3b13-2 it
works fine again. I'm using CVSNT v 2.0.41a and *was* using WinCVS 1.3b17.

Does anyone have any ideas? Please help!

Thanks in advance,
Michael
