Hello,

I am trying to contact a CVSNT server from a Linux client. The
server runs on a PC running Windows XP. I may not use the 'pserver'
protocol.

I have been trying to get the 'sspi' protocol working, with limited
success. I am able to contect the repository from the machine that
runs the server using 'sspi'. I have not been able to contact the
server from a Linux client.

On Linux, I am using the client from CVSNT 2.0.41a. I do not
understand several things:
 (1) What username should be specified? Is this a Windows account,
     or a "cvs account"?
 (2) Is a "cvs login" required? If so, what password (Windows
     account, or "cvs account")?
 (3) Are there any additional setup tasks needed on Linux?

To better illustrate my level of (lack of) success, here is
my current interaction with the server from my Linux client:

bash$ cvs -d :sspi:cvslocal@<mymachine>:/cygwin/usr/local/cvsroot
login
Logging in to
:sspi:cvslocal@<mymachine>:2401:/cygwin/usr/local/cvsroot

(where <mymachine> is to be replaced by the name of the PC from
which the repository is served.

Any pointers to existing documentation, or a brief explanation,
would be most welcome.

thanks
Marc
