Hello, That was just a typo. I did set my cvsroot using the following command set cvsroot=:sspi:10.0.0.95:/cvsrepo/test But some how on wincvs i keep getting login aborted message. i have checked the port as well as firewall. There are no issues there. should i reinstall cvsnt? since it is a fresh install. thanks Oliver Giesen <ogware at gmx.net> wrote: ryan fernandes wrote: > I am trying to connect to my cvsnt server which is a windows 2000 OS > through wincvs which is also running on windows 2000. > I have set the cvsroot using the command: > set cvsroot=:10.0.0.95:/cvsrepo/test Might have been a typo, but here's one observation: Your CVSROOT appears to be invalid. The protocol prefix is missing. It should be something like :sspi:10.0.0.95:/cvsrepo/test or :pserver:10.0.0.95:/cvsrepo/test If you omit the prefix I think it will default to :server: (at least that's what GNU CVS would do) and I don't know which port that would be using. I'm relatively sure it would not be 2401. Anyone? BTW: Out of curiosity: Why do you keep posting your whole issue anew over and over again just amending details instead of simply replying to the answers you get?
