Dan, I did not get this issue resolved. Tony indicated that he suspected a problem with tcp/ip but since the machine running my cvsnt server has no other cvsnt problems I wonder if that is the case. I switched back to 2.0.34 and have been happy with it. We are getting ready to switch the server to an XP pro workstation so I thought I would try out something later that 2.0.51 after I move my server. That should be sometime this month. I hope your message prompts others to test this out. Rtagging a module that is an alias gives the error message: cvs [rtag aborted]: Error communicating with lock server (send) We are using cvsnt version 2.0.41a. Everything else works fine, and moving back to the previous version we used works as well.
