Jeffrey, Try actually being in the ProjectName directory before trying to run cvs chacl ie cvs checkout -r HEAD ProjectName cd ProjectName cvs chacl cvsadmin:rwc use cvs lsacl to check the current state of a directory .... not cvs lacl. cheers Mikew PS IIRC v2.0.38 was a dodgy server that didn't get branch merging right.
