Well, the folder is named "core" and I used Tony's help by using "-I !" on the import and that worked. I'm running on a Win32 machine (server and client) so that didn't occur to me. Thanks again for the fast help John D -----Original Message----- From: Bo Berglund [mailto:Bo.Berglund at system3r.se] Sent: Tuesday, February 08, 2005 12:22 PM To: Merrill Cornish; JohnD at DelWare.com; cvsnt at cvsnt.org cvsnt downloads at march-hare.com @CVSNT on Twitter CVSNT on Facebook Subject: RE: [cvsnt] Directory Being Excluded based on it's name What about a *folder* with the name core??? Directories cannot really be thought of as having a unix core inside? As such, "core" files are usually huge and are not something anyone is interested in archiving. So, CVS is trying to be helpful and not put it in the repository. One of the CVS folks will have to tell you if there is a work around for adding an "innocent" core file to the repository.
