Personally, I'd LOVE a guide like that. I wouldn't mind the format but I can't say as how to distribute it. That'll have to be left to someone who can host it. I've always been after a good guide on how to set everything like this up. Does it also cover installation? Thankyou for contributing something back to the community. -----Original Message----- From: cvsnt-bounces at cvsnt.org [mailto:cvsnt-bounces at cvsnt.org] On Behalf Of Graham Crockford Sent: Friday, 14 January 2005 10:06 PM To: cvsnt at cvsnt.org cvsnt downloads at march-hare.com @CVSNT on Twitter CVSNT on Facebook Subject: [cvsnt] We have written some new CVS documentation... Hi all, I am leaving the company where I currently work today, and as part of my handover process I have written an extensive document on our CVSNT and TortoiseCVS setup, including maintenance strategies, troubleshooting guides, safe use practices etc. I believe this document will be very useful to the community and so have obtained permission for it to be distributed via the GPL, as our "giving something back". It is entitled "CVS/TortoiseCVS Administration - An Enterprise Guide" and is targeted squarely at SMEs using these products in a LAN environment on MS platforms. It runs to 24 pages. Here's the rub - it's all in MS Word format with lots of pictures and Visio diagrams, and we kinda want to keep it that way since it makes it most useful to us going forward. Given that it's targeted squarely as SMEs running Windows, I don't see this as particularly restrictive! Firstly, how best to distribute it? Would the cvsnt.org site be interested? Secondly, will the format be OK? I am leaving today, so I need to get this sorted quickly! Thanks in advance. _______________________________________________ cvsnt mailing list cvsnt at cvsnt.org cvsnt downloads at march-hare.com @CVSNT on Twitter CVSNT on Facebook http://www.cvsnt.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/cvsnt https://www.march-hare.com/cvspro/en.asp#downcvs
