Hello Bo, Thursday, June 16, 2005, 7:28:54 PM, you wrote: thank you for the response. >>cvs -z9 -q update -P -f -r BRANCH_XYZ BB> cvs -z9 -q update -P -f -r CVSNT_2-0-62-1862 cvsapi.dll BB> ***** CVS exited normally with code 0 ***** BB> U cvsapi.dll .... BB> Seems to work fine here.... Sure, the circumstands are somewhat more complex: The involved file is not on the branch, so I used -f to get it. The file was not patcheable, so it has to be refetched. But the cvs client uses the branch tag to refetch the file, which may be incorrect. Ok - the client may not be able to determine wether the file is on the requested branch or not. Thats why I put the '??' in the subject. Eventually Tony can clarify this?? -- Best regards, Richard mailto:richard at wirthware.de
