Just installed CVSNT on Windows 2003. Whenever i add or compare diffs on a file i get error of the format:- 21:28:37 Error in CVS (while attempting to get revision 1.2 of file 'ROUT.GENERAL_VARIABLES.PSK' from project 'SQL/ROUT'): Unable to get revision from VCS repository. The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. This is because of the following in the event viewer:- Failed to bind listening socket: Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted. I can see from the cvs that different versions are being created. I can generate this by running:- C:\Documents and Settings\0460127\My Documents\cvs_working_copy>cvslock -test CVSLock 2.5.02 (Servalan) Build 2115 (Oct 9 2005) starting in test mode. Initialising socket... Starting lock server on port 2502/tcp... Couldn't bind listening socket... Only one usage of each socket address (protoco l/network address/port) is normally permitted. Found an entry in the newsgroup which might indicate there was a port conflict for the lockserver but this is not the case as netstat -an doesnt reveal any other port running on 2402 or 2502 (as you can see above i changed it from the default in the cvsnt config panel). Is this an obvious config error im making or a bug. I dont believe this has anything to do with the 3rd party application im using to use CVSNT since the same prob occurs when using cvslock -test Regards Simon
