I sent a msg a while ago concerning config problems for CVSNT 2.5.02 and didn't get any suggestions. Since then I have uninstalled 2.5.02 (which was remotely installed with the password agent) and then installed 2.5.03 locally using the default install (no password agent). This, however, didn't change anything. The server is a new HP box running Server 2003 SP1 CVSNT is the only application installed (apart from Symantec Antivirus) I have given "C:\Program Files\CVSNT\Temp" and my test repository "C:\CVSREPO" Full Access to all users Server Settings tried: Run as user: (client user) or SERVERNAME\Administrator Default Domain: SERVERNAME everything else is the default. My test command is: cvs -d:pserver:USER at SERVERNAME:/CVSREPO login -p password which when run locally or from a network client generates: Authorization failed: rejected access to /CVSREPO by user USER I've looked through the CVS documentation and see that this is a generic error indicating that the user failed authentication, even though the same user can log onto the server with administrative privileges. If I try "ssh: instead of :pserver: I get: FATAL ERROR:Network error:Connection refused While I am unfamiliar with SSH, I am wondering if some feature of 2003 may be missing or some security setting misconfigured, thereby preventing CVSNT from authenticating correctly. Any help on this is welcome as, frankly, I have run out of things to try. Randy McCharles SMART Technologies Inc.
