All, Does anyone know if it is possible to use raw native cvs to checkin/checkout/label/etc from a cvs repository that is also being served up to the outside world (on other machines) by cvsnt server (2.5.03)? We have an SCM server that uses cvsnt (using pserver) to provide access to the cvs repository to all the developers in the building. The repository exists on that SCM server. That works great. For nightly builds (and checkins of targets and labeling) we run the builds etc. on the SCM server itself (so checkins of the targets is fast). The build processes are currently accessing the repository using CVSROOT=:pserver:localhost:/repos so access to the repository goes through the cvsnt server at all times, local or remote. However this is slow. Can I access the cvsrepository directly with cvs without causing problems with the locks? If the locks are being managed by the cvsnt lockserver for remote access, won't it cause problems if I use native cvs access to the repository using CVSROOT=c:\cvsrepos? It seems raw access would be faster than going through the cvsnt server evrn if it is on the same machine. Any ideas? Thanks, scott
