on past releases where you are just fixing the bugs and not adding any new stuff. So in this context forcing a revision number on a file makes little if no sense at all. And the way it was implemented in CVS (and therefore in CVSNT before it was disabled) it was not possible even to set an arbitrary revision number anyway. CVS had to check that the given number would not cause major breakage in the repository so it decided to limit the possible numbers that could be used. So it was not a particularly useful function while it existed anyway.... /Bo Berglund
