Hi All, I am trying to setup CVSNT (2.5.03) on Windows 2000 Machine and seems like Win 2K does not like CVSNT Lock Service. I am not able to start Lock Service on the same machine, where as it (CVSNT Lock service) was working fine on the other machine with Win XP that I have tried before. I have tried setting zeroconf to 'NONE' as it was mentioned here : http://march-hare.com/cvspro/faq/faq4.asp#4kk Here are some of the diagnostics that I have performed. c:\> cvsdiag CVSNT Diagnostic output ----------------------- Server version: 2.5.03 (Scorpio) Build 2260 OS Version: Windows 2000 5.0.2195 (Service Pack 4) CVS Service installed: Yes LockService installed: Yes :pserver: installed: Yes :sserver: installed: Yes :gserver: installed: Yes :server: installed: Yes :ssh: installed: Yes :sspi: installed: Yes :ext: installed: Yes Installation Path: G:\CVSInstall\CVSNT\ Repository 0 Path: G:/CVSRoot Repository 0 Name: /CVSRoot Repository 1 Path: (no value) Repository 1 Name: (no value) Repository 2 Path: (no value) Repository 2 Name: (no value) Repository 3 Path: (no value) Repository 3 Name: (no value) CVS Temp directory: G:\CVSTempDir CA Certificate File: G:\CVSInstall\CVSNT\ca.pem Private Key File: G:\CVSInstall\CVSNT\ca.pem Local Users Only: No Default LockServer: localhost:2402 Disable Reverse DNS: No Server Tracing: No Case Sensitive: No Server listen port: 2401 Compatibility (Non-cvsnt clients): Report old CVS version: No Hide extended status: No Emulate co -n bug: Yes Ignore client wrappers: No Compatibility (CVSNT clients): Report old CVS version: No Hide extended status: No Emulate co -n bug: No Ignore client wrappers: No Default domain: SALES Force run as user: Temp dir readable by current user: Yes Repository0 readable by current user: Yes Temp dir writable by current user: Yes AV files detected: (none) Installed Winsock protocols: 1035: CA ISafe LSP over [MSAFD Tcpip [TCP/IP]] 1036: CA ISafe LSP over [MSAFD Tcpip [UDP/IP]] 1001: MSAFD Tcpip [TCP/IP] 1002: MSAFD Tcpip [UDP/IP] 1004: RSVP UDP Service Provider 1005: RSVP TCP Service Provider ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- c:\> cvslock -v CVSNT Locking Service 2.5.03 (Scorpio) Build 2260 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- c:\> cvslock -test CVSLock 2.5.03 (Scorpio) Build 2260 (Mar 3 2006) starting in test mode.
