Err - no - it is true - if you are having problems with performance of diffs, look up the previous posts on performance and fix the performance problem.  March Hare have some repositories in Sydney and some development in Manchester and some in Amsterdam - the latency is terrible, but once CVSNT is configured properly it works great.  Can't say the same for Remote Desktop though...

Obviously if you exceed the available bandwidth you are stuck - which is why 2.5.04 has the "write through server" - basically a local server that can act as a cache for read requests.  Set it up.  Try it.  Test it.
