John,

Thanks for the info.

Things like the presence of anti virus software, os versions, cvs versions are pretty essential when reporting a bug. The long list is there to try and cover most possibilities - some people have gotten quite upset when they write "it doesnt work" and they don't get an instant 4 point diagnosis.

The list will publish the longer message (it already has!), it just goes to hold first due to recent spam problems.

My comments were/are purely as a "fellow list member" - professional support is through separate channels and uses versions of tortoise/cvsnt that are designed and tested to work together.

People provide answers, software provides data.

My guess is still that something is holding the file open on the server, it could be a driver or something.

>From your diagnostics - the client is reporting you have no protocols - which is weird, and you don't have server side diagnostics switched on.

Try this:
1. enable server side tracing in the cvsnt control panel
2. install cvsnt 2.5.03.2252 on the server, and re-test

if the problem still occurs install 2.5.03.2252 on the client (in the TortoiseCVS directory) and re test again (just to be sure).

If the problem still occurs produce a new trace that'll include the server side stuff (which is where the error is occuring). Hopefully it'll be more obvious to you based on that trace what the problem is.

Regards,

Arthur
