The problem here is that the definition of a "module" in CVS is
unfortunately a bit hazy. Here's my stab at it:

That is indeed a strange finding. However as of CVSNT 2.5 the
recommendation is to either always use forward slashes or escape the
backslashes. Single backslashes are actually not supposed to work at
all anymore AFAIHU...

Well there's still a difference between simply using a tool and
teaching others to use it... I have my own experiences with teachers
that turned out to be only marginally more advanced than myself in the
matter they were teaching and none of them were particularly satisfying
experiences.
