When you restored the ,V files from tape did you restore them back to the same directories that they were in before? -----Original Message----- From: cvsnt-bounces at cvsnt.org [mailto:cvsnt-bounces at cvsnt.org] On Behalf Of McCarter, Stacy Sent: Thursday, January 12, 2006 1:25 PM To: 'McCullough, Ryan'; McCarter, Stacy; Glen Starrett; cvsnt at cvsnt.org cvsnt downloads at march-hare.com @CVSNT on Twitter CVSNT on Facebook Subject: RE: [cvsnt] Re: HELP!!! CVS PROD yes. I re-built the server, re-installed cvs and restored the entire repository from tape backup. When you look in the repository or checkout all the files say: xyz.java,v instead of xyz.java All of the files in all the modules for different projects are like this. They are un-usable. -----Original Message----- From: McCullough, Ryan [mailto:rmccullough at rightnow.com] Sent: Thursday, January 12, 2006 3:17 PM To: McCarter, Stacy; Glen Starrett; cvsnt at cvsnt.org cvsnt downloads at march-hare.com @CVSNT on Twitter CVSNT on Facebook Subject: RE: [cvsnt] Re: HELP!!! Reinstall the CVSNT server service. Create a repository with the same name as the old one. Put your RCS files (the ones that end in ,v) in there. Your users should be happy at that point (assuming you have permissions, etc. set correctly). If you need immediate professional help, you can contact March-Hare. They provide paid support for CVSNT. Otherwise, just ask your questions here. -- Glen Starrett _______________________________________________ cvsnt mailing list cvsnt at cvsnt.org cvsnt downloads at march-hare.com @CVSNT on Twitter CVSNT on Facebook http://www.cvsnt.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/cvsnt https://www.march-hare.com/cvspro/en.asp#downcvs _______________________________________________ cvsnt mailing list cvsnt at cvsnt.org cvsnt downloads at march-hare.com @CVSNT on Twitter CVSNT on Facebook http://www.cvsnt.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/cvsnt https://www.march-hare.com/cvspro/en.asp#downcvs _______________________________________________ cvsnt mailing list cvsnt at cvsnt.org cvsnt downloads at march-hare.com @CVSNT on Twitter CVSNT on Facebook http://www.cvsnt.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/cvsnt https://www.march-hare.com/cvspro/en.asp#downcvs Confidentiality Statement: This message is intended only for the individual or entity to which it is addressed.
