Mmm, this path is a bit strange for a sandbox. Are you sure you are  
looking at your *working*copy*, or sandbox, checked out from the  
repository using a CVS client?
You are not looking directly at the repository files, are you? The ,v  
files are expected to reside on the repository and that's normal.
You restored your repository backup *on*the*server* and reinstalled the  
CVS service *on*the*server*, ok?
Then you checked out a copy *on*another*PC* to work on, using cvs co  
modulename, ok?
I guess you may be mixing client and server things badly.
