I´m trying to change my CVSNT server to always use Unicode. As Tnoy has said at another post 2.6 servers will always be unicode so I´m anticipating this. I have files and directories with accents and I´m with doubts about the process. I´ve tried to move my module from my CVSNT server (without Unicode option set) to a new one with this option enabled. At first it had worked without any problems but when I inspected the graph (I´m using WinCVS) I noted that all accent characters in my comments were missing. Not just that, the 'Filename' at the Log too. See the example below: Actual server without Unicode ---------------------------- Revision : 1.2 Date : 2006/3/6 14:52:36 Author : 'fred' State : 'Exp' Lines : +354 -115 Keyword : 'b' CommitID : '18b4440c4cb25e77' Filename : 'NORM.04.DOCM.02.Estrutura de Diretórios.doc' Description : Ajustes ortográficos e de layout New Server with Unicode ---------------------------- Revision : 1.2 Date : 2006/3/6 14:52:36 Author : 'fred' State : 'Exp' Lines : +354 -115 Keyword : 'b' CommitID : '18b4440c4cb25e77' Filename : 'NORM.04.DOCM.02.Estrutura de Diretrios.doc' Description : Ajustes ortogrficos e de layout Another problem is related with the modules2 file. The virtual modules that references directories with accents are not treated correctly. See the example below: cvs server: cannot open directory /PhSGQ/Diretoria de Tecnologia/Gerncia de Desenvolvimento/Implementao/RPT_LIB/POS: No such file or directory where the rule in modules2 references the directory /PhSGQ/Diretoria de Tecnologia/Gerência de Desenvolvimento/Implementação/RPT_LIB/POS
