Arthur, I haven't moved to CVSNT yet. A month ago I moved to CVS 1.12 without checking into compatibility. I had to move back to 1.11. Lesson learned - look into everything. I think I've checked to make sure all clients work with CVSNT. Now I want to know what I'll have to do if something I haven't thought of doesn't work with it. i.e.: Will I have to restore from backup and check in changed files again? What sort of problems are some users experiencing? It'll probably be easier to rectify that than change again. Also CVSNT is completely backward compatible with CVS 1.11 so I've never heard of someone needing to "move back". Finally CM in a commercial environment probably should not be "developer opinion driven". CM has an overhead /cost to it that should be offset to a business benefit (eg: audit req.). Therefore moving back to CVS may also remove the business benefit (eg: audit) so you'll be left with the overhead but no benefit. What about moving back? Example: I move to CVSNT. It works great for some users but not for others. Now I need to move back to CVS. Will CVS have any trouble with files committed to CVSNT?
