The reason this happens could be caused by ViewCvs not having properly been set up to use the cvsnt installed cvs.exe as the parser. Open the file C:\Programs\ViewCvs\viewcvs.conf and drill down to this entry: cvsnt_exe_path=C:\Programs\cvsnt\cvs.exe and make sure that it points to the installed cvs.exe in your own server. Since some later 2.5.03 build CVSNT started to move files around to subdirectories that were not used when the ViewCvs installer was created and therefore the installer might enter the wrong path here.
