Here's yet more info. A bunch of 1 meg files (random text) committed till the RCS file reaches 350 megs is fine. A single committed 350 meg file makes windows barf, but linux is fine. A 650 meg file is fine on linux. A 1.3 gig file was bigger than would fit into my laptop's RAM and my client barfed. Can someone help? Why is the behavior on windows different than on linux?
