I agree about AVs.. you wouldn't believe the number of problems they've 
caused me... :)

If you can find a usage pattern that causes the problem then we can 
probably find a way to work around it (unless it's really odd).. normal 
cvs behaviour never should because the everything should shutdown cleanly.
