Georgi Kalojanov,

A 22Mb file is tiny - there should be no problem.

What is the CVSNT encoding of the file? Ie: is it -ku? If you don't know then do a "cvs status" and send the results.

Regards,

Arthur

Subject: [cvsnt] CVS bug - memory allocation error

Dear all,

We are currently experiencing problems commiting large files to our CVSNT
repository.

Our configuration:
The file we have is a 22 Mb xml file, which is an extract from ERWin Data
Modeller. The historized file on the server is about 600MB.
The server runs on a windows machine with 4GB phisical memory (2.5 GB
free) and 4GB virtual memory.

The problem:
Until recently we were able to commit all our changes. After major changes
in the file we can no longer commit it. Apparently the changes are to big
for the diff.
We tried to apply small changes and commit the file and it works.

This is the error message from CVS:
cvs [server aborted]: out of memory; can not reallocate 337641472 bytes

Can somebody give me a hint how to solve this problem?

Many thanks in advance

With best regards / Mit freundlichen Grüßen

Georgi Kalojanov
