Sorry, i'm not sure to understand your responses good : My question isn't really a "syntax usage" for login; it's more a curious thing that works differently depending on the fact that i'm runing the command line on the cvs server itself or from a remote server... I'm being setting up Cruise Control and we would really like to define a DNS alias instead of real cvs server's hostname for future migration purpose. We really don't understand that (with Windows servers that are all in the same domain) the command works from a remote server and not fro mthe cvs server itself (on which Cruise control is installed too...). Am i more clear ? Do *not* use the cvs login command with sspi, it is not needed at all.... It *can* be used but only if CVSROOT is of the form: :sspi:user at cvsserver:/repo and none of your examples use this format.
