Hello Raj, It seems to me that what you're describing is an Eclipse IDE problem. If it bothers you and you really want to get rid of it, you could try to identify where Eclipse holds its MRS (most recently used) lists and remove it from there. Cheers, Emil. But what I am trying to say is It is in the list of EXISTING TAGS where I can use this tag again, but I just want to delete the Instance also. I will be more clear , let me know if you feel some thing confusing. But thanks a lot.... I'm not familiar with Eclipse, but a sure way to see if a file has a tag or not is to use the status command: cvs log some_file (where some_file is a file you think has the tag) and grep the output for your tag. (I'm not sure why are you using rtag.) Cheers, Emil. I can see that when I saw the history of the file. Actually I use ECLIPSE IDE for viewing the whole central repository. So when I right clicked on the file "TAG with EXISTING" then I can see that Deleted tag name also in the list of Existing tags. please help me. For some details try cvs -H tag and you'll learn how to remove even a branch. To remove a file revision try cvs admin -o rev. Again, for details try cvs -H admin. Cheers, Emil.
