Ryan, Do not send attachments to the mailing list and it is poor etiquette to use a fake e-mail address - just get a free one from gmail if you are worried about being spammed - with a fake address there is nowhere to send the 'message to large' warning to. > This problem has come up again and I'm lost where to go from > here. (I thought that using sserver had fixed this issue, > but it didn't...sserver is now affected as is sspi) If the problem is occurring only with new users - it's clearly environmental. > I've attached the cvs trace of a working and non-working user > account. diff cvs_good.txt cvs_bad.txt 6c6 < 14:00:00: -> main loop with CVSROOT=:sserver:MYDOMAIN\rparlee at cvs.mydomain.c om:/cvsroot/repo1 --- > 14:00:00: -> main loop with CVSROOT=:sserver:MYDOMAIN\cburnett at cvs.mydomain. com:/cvsroot/repo1 149c149 < 14:00:00: -> GetUnixFileModeNtEA(D,000005D8) returns 0666 --- > 14:00:00: -> GetUnixFileModeNtEA(D,000005E8) returns 0666 162c162 < 14:00:00: -> GetUnixFileModeNtEA(D,000005D8) returns 0666 --- > 14:00:00: -> GetUnixFileModeNtEA(D,000005E8) returns 0666 169c169 < 14:00:00: -> GetUnixFileModeNtEA(D,000005D8) returns 0666 --- > 14:00:00: -> GetUnixFileModeNtEA(D,000005E8) returns 0666 175c175 < 14:00:00: -> GetUnixFileModeNtEA(D,000005D8) returns 0666 --- > 14:00:00: -> GetUnixFileModeNtEA(D,000005E8) returns 0666 177,201d176 < 14:00:00: -> call_in_directory /cvsroot/repo1/module1/source/Web/Default.asp x,./ < 14:00:00: -> change_mode (Default.aspx,u=rw,g=rw,o=rw,1) < 14:00:00: -> wnt_chmod(Default.aspx,0666) . . . < 14:00:00: -> unlink_file(CVS/Entries.Log) < 14:00:00: -> unlink_file(CVS/Entries.Extra.Log) The trace is useless since you have not enabled 'clients are allowed to trace server' on the cvsnt server control panel - this is only the client trace. Do not send traces to the newsgroup - do the diff yourself and send just the relavent bits in the body of the newsgroup message. Messages more than 8K are automaticallly rejected. If you really want to send a full trace send it in a separate message to support at march-hare.com and mention it on the newsgroup and I can dig it out of our spam trap. Regards, Arthur
