Hello CVSNT list,

I am a CVS user for some years, and recently I have migrated a Linux
machine to the CVSNT 2.5.04.2428. The main reason for this change
regarded to the CVSNT Unicode support, as the repositories gained the
requirement to support them recently. Everything is working fine, when I
use CVSNT through the network by using :pserver:, :gserver:, :sserver:
and :sspi:.

The problem starts when I need to use :ext: scheme. My team uses
TortoiseCVS and TortoisePlink to connect to the CVS repository. Whenever
we use this combination with CVSNT, we get the following message:

    E cvsnt [server aborted]: _path_to_repository_: no such repository

How to reproduce:

1) Install CVSNT 2.5.04.2428 in a Linux machine.
2) Configure the /etc/cvsnt/Pserver as usual:

Repository0=_path_to_repository_
Repository0Name=_path_to_repository_
Repository0Description=A CVS Repository
Repository0Default=1
Repository0Publish=1
Repository0Online=1

3) Ensure that xinetd/CVSNT pserver service is working fine.
4) In the command line, do:

    $ cvsnt server

(This will cause the CVSNT software to enter in the same state it gets
when you use :ext: protocol on the client side.)

5) Now enter the 'root' directory you want to use:

    Root _path_to_repository_

6) The CVSNT will issue these messages:

    E cvsnt [server aborted]: _path_to_repository_: no such repository
    error

I think it is a BUG, or maybe I missed some "misterious configuration"
_not documented elsewhere_ ...

Best regards,

Guilherme Balena Versiani
