I cannot easily change my mail client (long story, but a common one in businesses). Therefore the email interface is more functional *for me* than the newsgroup interface. I accept that where there is an unconstrained choice of message reader, the balance is likely to be different. > I also use Outlook 2003 at work and I do get the emails there but I have a filter to move them out of the way and I very seldom read them there. The bulk of my CVSNT communications is done from home and here I use Forte Free Agent as newsreader (I have used it since the dawn of evolution, or at least since 2000). With that I am able to see all messages belonging to a single thread together and I don't have to have subscribed to email in order to get them all. In fact I can read any back messages I like in the newsreader. Beats email any day! However, as mentioned I have email enabled into Outlook at work because the IT department in its wisdom has blocked the NNTP port in the corporate firewall! So I update from time to time my news messages whenever I am connected elsewhere tan within the company (my PC is a laptop...). -- /Bo (Bo Berglund, developer in Sweden)
